| | Title V Community Prevention Grants Program, 2006-2007 Report to Congress | | (NCJ 225086) January 2009 | | Report, 32 page(s) | | Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention | | | | This Report reviews the background of the Community Prevention Grants Program; highlights State, local, and Federal activities in 2006–2007; and outlines OJJDP’s plans for enhancing the positive impact of limited Community Prevention Grants Program funds in the future. OJJDP requires the States to report, using a prescribed set of indicators, how the Title V-funded programs of their local subgrantees performed. Established by Congress in 1992, the Title V Program supports State and local efforts to reduce risk factors associated with juvenile delinquency and enhance protective factors that promote healthy personal and social development. To date, nearly 1,700 communities have received funding through Title V formula-based allocations to the States. | |
