Deputy Administrator
This position is in the Senior Executive Service (SES), a small elite group of top government leaders. The incumbent of this position serves as a Deputy Administrator responsible for the overall administration of OJJDP research, training and technical assistance, budget and operations, and communication portfolios. This broad portfolio combines operational management and juvenile justice policy coordination. The incumbent is actively involved in the promulgation and advocacy of the juvenile justice and delinquency policies and objectives as established by the Administrator. The incumbent resolves significant, timely issues centered upon the juvenile justice and delinquency prevention system. The incumbent communicates effectively with the other OJJDP Deputy Administrator as they lead the operations and policy areas in alignment with the Administrator's priorities and ensure appropriate collaboration and communication among the divisions and teams of OJJDP.
