The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) announces the availability of OJJDP News @ a Glance, January/February 2011. The bimonthly newsletter provides readers with news about OJJDP activities, publications, funding opportunities, and events.
This issue's lead article reports on a partnership between the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and Facebook to enable millions of Facebook users across the country to receive AMBER Alerts through their accounts. The issue also includes special features on the following topics:
- First Lady Michelle Obama's announcement at the National Mentoring Summit of The Corporate Mentoring Challenge.
- OJJDP's two FY 2010 fellows in tribal youth and juvenile justice and children's exposure to violence.
