OJJDP Observes International Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Awareness Day
September 9, 2012
September 9 is International Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Awareness Day. The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and its partnering agencies work to increase awareness of the physical, mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges children born with FASD face. Watch one parent’s story and read about the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's FASD app, which provides access to prevention, recognition, and treatment information.
