OJJDP Webinar To Explore Effective Implementation of DMC Assessments

On May 9, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. ET, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention’s (OJJDP’s) State Training and Technical Assistance Center will present the Webinar “DMC Assessment Study: Recommendations From the Field.” Presenters, including Andrea Coleman, OJJDP’s disproportionate minority contact (DMC) coordinator, will discuss regulatory guidance for developing and implementing DMC assessment studies; Dr. Michael Leiber, professor of criminology at the University of South Florida, will provide strategies for effective DMC assessments; and Dave Kuker, Iowa’s juvenile justice specialist, and Valerie LaMotte, Connecticut’s juvenile justice specialist, will highlight their experiences implementing assessment study recommendations in their respective states.
