Webinar To Discuss Access to Healthcare for Vulnerable Youth Populations

NCYC logoOn March 26, 2014, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. ET, OJJDP’s National Center for Youth in Custody will present “Access to Healthcare for Vulnerable Populations,” the third Webinar in the series “Improving Conditions of Confinement for Vulnerable Populations.” This Webinar will focus on helping facility staff identify special healthcare needs of youth in confinement who are dealing with pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, diabetes, and other health-related issues. The Webinar will address policy and staff responses and federal requirements under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act that protect the confidentiality of youth’s medical information.
