The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) in collaboration with the National Center for Youth in Custody will present "Family Comes First: Transforming the Justice System by Partnering with Families," Presenters will review a new Campaign for Youth Justice report on a nationwide study of best practices in family-system partnerships, showcase examples from jurisdictions that have been intentional about infusing family voice into their systems, explain five features of a transformed juvenile justice system, and introduce the FAMILY Model, which jurisdictions can use to assess their own systems from a family perspective.
