Each year, OJJDP encourages fifth grade students to participate in the annual National Missing Children's Day poster contest, which creates an opportunity for schools, law enforcement, and other child safety advocates to engage children and families in discussions about child abduction and how to prevent it. Thirty-seven states and the District of Columbia submitted their winning entries in 2013. Once again, the theme for the posters was "Bring our Missing Children Home." The 2013 national winner is Esther J. from Chino, California.
