- Juveniles charged with crimes against persons made up a greater share of the offender population in public than in private facilities. Juveniles held for Violent Crime Index offenses (a subset of crimes against persons) made up 27% of the overall delinquency population in public facilities and 12% in private facilities.
- In public facilities juveniles charged with Violent Crime Index offenses were 33% of committed and 13% of detained delinquents.
- Juveniles held for property offenses accounted for 33% of delinquents committed to public facilities, 28% of detained delinquents, and 32% of the overall delinquency population in public facilities.
