- The juvenile arrest rate for vandalism rose 44% between 1982 and 1994, its peak year in the 1980-2010 period.
- The rate declined 38% between 1994 and 2001, then was relatively stable through 2005. The juvenile arrest rate for vandalism declined 33% since 2006, falling to a rate 39% below its 1980 level.
- About 15% of juvenile arrests for vandalism were arrests of females in 2010 and 39% were arrests of youth under age 15.
