- Between 1988 and 1998, the juvenile male arrest rate for curfew and loitering increased 110% and the female rate increased 168%.
- Since their peak, the rate declined in equal proportions for both groups through 2010 (down 53% for males since 1996 and down 54% for females since 1998).
- Despite these declines the female arrest rate in 2010 was 56% above the rate in 1980 while the male rate was 12% above the rate in 1980.
