return to Maryland's state list

Maryland User Guide 2000 – 2021

The Department of Juvenile Services (DJS) has submitted statewide case-level data to the Archive dating back to 1975.  These data were collected by DJS's case tracking system (known as ISYS).

In 1999, DJS implemented a new information system and back loaded much of the ISYS data. Maryland data are now obtained from their centralized client tracking computerized system known as ASSIST and an extract from the new system has been submitted to the Archive and incorporated into the national reporting format.
