(NCJ 191773) December 2001
OJJDP Teleconference Videotapes, Videotape
This videoconference, which originally aired on December 6, 2001, provided viewers an overview of the Bush Administration's direction and focus for the agency in the coming years. The videoconference featured a discussion of the agency's Program Plan for 2002, which outlined future funding activities generated by several of the agency's Congressional appropriations. The telecast also focused on the Faith-Based and Community-Based Initiative, which provides assistance to faith-based and community-based organizations that offer prevention, intervention, and treatment services related to juvenile justice. The broadcast was designed for juvenile justice practitioners, juvenile court judges and staff, policymakers, community leaders, prosecutors, defense attorneys, probation and parole officers, child advocates, social service agencies, educators, law enforcement agencies, and others interested in improving the lives of troubled children and enhancing the juvenile justice system's response to them.
