Describes the characteristics, family and educational backgrounds, offense histories, and expectations of youth in residential placement. The Survey of Youth in Residential Placement (SYRP) asks youth to identify the offenses they have committed and the factors that may have contributed to their delinquency. This bulletin is the fourth in a series of reports that describe the findings from the first national SYRP.
