This bulletin, part of the Juvenile Offenders and Victims National Report Series, summarizes 2008 data from the biannual Juvenile Residential Facility Census, which collects information about the facilities in which juvenile offenders are held: size, structure, type, ownership, and security arrangements as well as the number of juveniles who died in custody during the past 12 months. Findings are generally positive.
