Working Together to Stop the Prostitution of Children Videoconference

This videoconference, which originally aired on December 11, 2003, examined the challenges faced by policymakers, juvenile justice officials, and other youth service professionals who are concerned with the commercial sexual exploitation of children and youth. The videoconference emphasized the importance of collaboration among public and private sector agencies, community-based organizations, and victims of such exploitation; explored effective prosecution strategies to hold perpetrators accountable; presented strategies for protecting and supporting victims; highlighted the importance of personal safety awareness, education, and broad prevention efforts; and featured community efforts designed to break the cycle of violence and victimization.
