Youth substance abuse is a serious and widespread problem in the United States. It often co-occurs with mental health disorders and can negatively impact adolescent development. This report presents juvenile drug treatment courts with evidence-based treatment guidelines, provides summaries of the research that underlies each guideline, and offers relevant implications for practice and implementation.
