RTI International and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle (BBBS-T) collaborated to conduct a comprehensive process evaluation exploring male mentor recruitment and mentor motivation and the potential role of payment to mentors. The study design included seven components including; focus groups, interviews with mentoring agencies, a study of mentor recruitment, analyses of BBBS-T youth outcomes and strength of relationship administrative data, mentor motivation and concerns survey, a national telephone survey of men and an economic study.
