Webinar To Explore Identifying Mental Health Issues in Schools

COPS LogoOn June 12, 2013, at 12 p.m. ET, the Department of Justice’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) will host the Webinar “Mental Health in Schools—Why is this so important?” During this 1-hour Webinar, presenter Darcy Gruttadaro, J.D., Director of the Child & Adolescent Action Center at the National Alliance on Mental Illness, will discuss the importance of ensuring that school personnel understand the early warning signs of emerging mental illness in students and how to link them with effective mental health services and supports—both inside school and in the community health system.
