Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice To Discuss Recommendations for Promoting Wellbeing of Nation's Youth

On August 12, 2013, from 3 to 6 p.m. ET, the Subcommittees of the Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice (FACJJ) addressing topics such as youth engagement, youth justice and education, disproportionate minority contact, and evidence-based practices will present their draft recommendations to the full FACJJ committee for deliberation. Upon final approval, the FACJJ recommendations will be submitted to the President, the Congress, and the OJJDP Administrator.
Composed of members of state advisory groups on juvenile justice, the FACJJ advises the President, Congress, and OJJDP Administrator on matters related to juvenile justice, including OJJDP program activities.
