Coordinating Council To Address Supportive School Discipline Initiative

On April 9, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET, the Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention will convene in Washington, DC, to discuss the Supportive School Discipline Initiative, a collaboration between the U.S. Departments of Education and Justice to support school discipline practices that foster safe, supportive, and productive learning environments while keeping students in school. Attorney General Eric H. Holder, Jr., serves as the Council’s Chair; OJJDP Administrator Robert L. Listenbee serves as Vice Chair. The meeting is open to the public. The deadline for registration is April 7, 2014.
