Listening Session To Examine Indian Child Welfare Act Implementation

BIA logoOn April 24, 2014, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET, the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) will hold its next listening session via teleconference to re-examine the 1978 Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) Guidelines for State Courts for Indian child custody proceedings. Tribal leaders and their designees are invited to participate. BIA is holding a series of listening sessions this year to gather information from stakeholders on their experiences with implementation of the ICWA.
