NIJ Announces Funding for Research To Increase School Safety

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is accepting applications for its fiscal year 2014 Developing Knowledge About What Works to Make Schools Safe funding opportunity. Under its Comprehensive School Safety Initiative, NIJ will provide funding to successful applicants to learn more about how personnel, programs, and activities contribute to school safety. NIJ anticipates making awards to local education agencies (LEAs), public charter schools recognized as LEAs, and state education agencies. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on July 10, 2014.
