Webinar To Discuss Building an Effective Tribal Youth Council

Today’s Native LeadersOn September 11, 2014, at 4 p.m. ET, OJJDP, in collaboration with United National Indian Tribal Youth (UNITY), will present “How To Build an Effective Youth Council.” This 1-hour Webinar will provide an overview of the steps tribal communities can take to form a UNITY youth council. The Webinar will be conducted in conjunction with the new Today’s Native Leaders initiative between OJJDP and UNITY that will offer regional and national training and learning opportunities for tribal youth. UNITY is composed of 165 affiliated youth councils in 35 states, sponsored by tribes, Alaska Native villages, high schools, colleges, and urban Native centers.
