Webinar To Explore Civil Citations as Alternatives to Juvenile Arrests

On September 22, 2014, from 3 to 4:15 p.m. ET, OJJDP’s State Training and Technical Assistance Center will present "Civil Citations in Juvenile Justice: An Alternative to Punitive Sanctions." This Webinar will explore civil citations as an alternative to arresting low-risk, first-time youth offenders. The Webinar will highlight the success of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice Civil Citation initiative. Participants will learn how to overcome challenges in their jurisdictions when implementing a civil citation model to improve youth outcomes, increase public safety, and reduce costs.
