Coalition for Juvenile Justice To Host Webinars on Reform, Status Offenders
October 14, 2014
The Coalition for Juvenile Justice (CJJ) will host these upcoming Webinars:
On October 23, 2014, from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. ET, CJJ will present "Juvenile Justice Reform and The Pew Charitable Trusts." Representatives from The Pew Charitable Trusts will discuss juvenile justice reforms that Pew assisted with in Georgia, Kentucky, and Hawaii through its Public Safety Performance Project. This project supports efforts in states seeking a better public safety return on corrections spending. Presenters will focus on the process of involving stakeholders, identifying potential areas for reform, developing policy recommendations, and passing the reforms.
On November 14, 2014, from 1 to 2:15 p.m. ET, CJJ will present "Exercising Judicial Leadership on the Deinstitutionalization of Status Offenders." This Webinar will offer steps that juvenile court judges and practitioners can take to convene a multi-stakeholder process to improve outcomes for nondelinquent youth and their families.
