FBI Online Release Details Impact of Sextortion on Youth, Offers Appropriate Responses

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has issued the public service announcement "Sextortion Affecting Thousands of U.S. Children." This release is designed for parents, educators, caregivers, and children and warns about the dangers of sextortion. It further explains the threat of sextortion, outlines measures adults can take to help educate and prevent children from becoming victims of sextortion, and provides resources for victims.
