Webinar To Discuss How To Assist Girls at Risk of Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting

On August 24, 2016, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. ET, OJJDP, in collaboration with the Department of Justice’s Human Rights and Special Prosecutions Section, will present “Assisting Girls at Risk of Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting: What Child Abuse Professionals Need to Know.” This webinar will provide an overview of the emerging problem of female genital mutilation/cutting in the United States and discuss its criminalization under federal and state laws. Presenters will address areas of concern for professionals who provide services to children and families at risk of or who have been subject to female genital mutilation/cutting.
