Webinar To Explore Trauma-Informed Approaches for LGBTQ+ Youth

On August 11, 2016, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. ET, Defending Childhood, in partnership with OJJDP and Futures Without Violence, will present Context and Practice: Trauma-Informed Approaches to Building Affirming Environments for LGBTQ+ Youth.” This webinar will explore the identities and experiences of LGBTQ+ youth who face a variety of structural and interpersonal traumas. Presenters will provide an overview of LGBTQ+ youth inequities, explore the challenges of domestic violence in LGBTQ+ communities and its impact on youth, discuss the benefits of trauma-informed care for LGBTQ+ youth, and share approaches for programming and care.
