Webinar To Discuss Raising the Age of Criminal Responsibility

On May 10, 2017, from 2 to 3 p.m. ET, OJJDP, in collaboration with the Raise the Age Training and Technical Assistance Center, will present "Raising the Age of Criminal Responsibility: Lessons Learned From States That Have Undertaken Policy Shifts." This webinar will discuss the experiences of seven states that have successfully raised the age of criminal responsibility to 18 years of age. Participants will learn the strategies that states have used to contain costs and enhance public safety while absorbing youth who are 16 and 17 years of age into their juvenile justice systems. This is the second webinar in the Raise the Age Training and Technical Assistance Center Webinar Series.
