Yale Medicine Child Study Center

On September 27, 2017, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. ET, OJJDP's National Training and Technical Assistance Center will host "Enhancing Police Responses to Children Exposed to Violence: A Toolkit for Law Enforcement." This webinar will focus on the new OJJDP-funded toolkit developed by the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the Yale Child Study Center. The "Enhancing Police Responses to Children Exposed to Violence" toolkit is designed to equip law enforcement professionals with resources to address children exposed to violence, build positive police-community relations, increase officer safety, and enhance officers' sense of professional efficacy. Presenters will discuss the issue of children exposed to violence, the role of the police officer in the life of these children, and the 13 tools that comprise the toolkit.
