NCJ 248957
This report details the Office's major activities and accomplishments during fiscal year (FY) 2014 (October 1, 2013, to September 30, 2014). In FY 2014, OJJDP awarded more than $262 million in grants to help reduce children’s exposure to violence, intervene in and prevent girls’ delinquency, support mentoring activities, facilitate reentry efforts, prevent bullying, improve conditions for tribal youth, strengthen the juvenile justice system, enhance public safety and law enforcement, and fight child exploitation. In addition to financial support, the Office provided a variety of resources for stakeholders in FY 2014. The report’s “Seeing Connections With the Field” sidebars highlight OJJDP’s activities to support research, evaluation, and training and technical assistance—and to communicate findings and best practices to the broader juvenile justice community.
