  • A new Data Snapshot draws on data from the CDC's Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System to document the bullying experiences reported by high school students.
  • A new Data Snapshot draws on data from OJJDP's Census of Juveniles in Residential Placement to document trends and characteristics of youth in residential placement.
  • A new Data Analysis Tool, the National Racial and Ethnic Disparities Databook describes how racial and ethnic disparities are measured and presents data on disparities at different decision points in the system.
  • A new Data Snapshot draws on data from OJJDP's National Juvenile Court Data Archive to assess racial and ethnic disparities in the processing of delinquency cases.
  • A new Data Snapshot draws on data from OJJDP's Juvenile Residential Facility Census to describe changes in where youth are placed and services provided.

Vision Statement
OJJDP envisions a nation where all children are free from crime and violence. Youth contact with the justice system should be rare, fair, and beneficial.

Mission Statement
OJJDP provides national leadership, coordination, and resources to prevent and respond to youth delinquency and victimization. The Office helps states, localities, and tribes develop effective and equitable juvenile justice systems that create safer communities and empower youth to lead productive lives.
