Every 2 years, the Census of Juveniles in Residential Placement (CJRP) gathers detailed information on youth residing in detention, correctional, and other shelter facilities. This section draws on data from CJRP and its predecessor, the Children in Custody (CIC) Census, to offer a statistical overview of juveniles in corrections. (more...)
