- The racial profile of females in residential placement was different from the profile for males. Whites accounted for the greatest proportion of females in residential placement (38%). In comparison, among males, blacks accounted for the largest proportion (42%).
- Though racial profiles varied by offense for both males and females, robbery offenses had the highest proportion of black males and females.
- Juveniles held for arson, sexual assault, and status offenses had the largest proportion of both non-minority white males and non-minority white females.
