- Nearly 90% of all reporting facilities evaluated all youth for educational needs in 2018.
- The largest proportion of facilities that evaluated all youth for educational needs were state facilities (94%). Private facilities (88%) were more likely than local facilities (85%) to evaluate all youth for educational needs.
- With the exception of detention centers, group homes, and shelters, more than 90% of all facilities evaluated all youth for educational needs in 2018. Nearly 9 in 10 (88%) detention centers evaluated all youth for educational needs in 2018, while fewer than 8 in 10 group homes and shelters evaluated all youth for educational needs.
