Case Rate Trends
Since 2005, the female rate for curfew violation cases fell 75%, while the male case rate decreased 72%.

Note: Rates are cases per 1,000 youth ages 10-upper age of juvenile court jurisdiction.

  • Curfew violation case rates were higher for males than females for all years between 2005 and 2018; both had decreased to their lowest level at the end of the time period (0.19 for males and 0.08 for females).
