- Youth and adults are most likely to commit a violent crime with a firearm between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Nearly one-fourth (24%) of violent crime involving the use of a firearm committed by youth takes place between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. For adults, about one-fifth (21%) of violent crime involving the use of a firearm takes place between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.
