Summarizes representative achievements of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention's Research and Program Development Division in the areas of research, evaluation, and statistics from August 1999 to the present. New findings, emerging research efforts, and key research activities are highlighted. Findings address areas including very young offenders, causes and correlates of delinquency, youth gangs, juvenile transfers to criminal court, youth gangs, diversion, and national statistics on juvenile offenders and victims. The Report also includes three appendixes that provide descriptive lists of research-related programs, publications, and Web sites. |
