This report draws on data from the National Juvenile Court Data Archive (Archive) to profile more than 1.5 million delinquency cases handled in 2009 by U.S. courts with juvenile jurisdiction. The report also tracks trends in delinquency cases between 1985 and 2009 and in petitioned status offense cases processed between 1995 and 2009. The data used in this report were contributed to the Archive by more than 2,300 courts with jurisdiction over 82% of the juvenile population in 2009. PDF
