The report describes delinquency cases and petitioned status offense cases that courts with juvenile jurisdiction processed in 2015 and presents trends since 2005. Data include case counts and rates, detailed by juvenile demographics and offenses charged. Data used in the analyses were contributed to the Archive by more than 2,400 courts with jurisdiction over 86% of the juvenile population in 2015. In 2015, courts with juvenile jurisdictions handled an estimated 884,900 delinquency cases and an estimated 100,000 petitioned status offense cases. |
