Delinquency cases involving Hispanic youth
More than half (55%) of all delinquency cases involving Hispanic youth in 2018 were petitioned to court for formal processing; about 1% of these petitioned cases were judicially waived to criminal court.

  • Once petitioned, 57% of delinquency cases involving Hispanic youth were adjudicated delinquent. Once adjudicated, most cases received a disposition of probation, especially those involving some type of drug offense.
  • Cases involving person or public order offenses were more likely to receive a placement disposition after adjudication than cases involving property or drug offenses.
