This issue's lead story highlights the first of four public hearings that the Task Force on American Indian/Alaska Native Children Exposed to Violence will hold to examine the impact of violence on children in Indian country. The task force is a joint effort between the U.S. Departments of Justice and the Interior and tribal governments. The issue also includes special features on OJJDP research presentations at the 2013 American Society of Criminology meeting; OJJDP's fiscal year 2013 grant awards; and OJJDP's participation in a conference on girls and trauma at Georgetown University.
