OJJDP 2015 Annual Report - Moving Ahead: Our Commitment To Reforming the Juvenile Justice System
(NCJ 250522) March 2018
Report, 68 page(s)
The Annual Report highlights the office's efforts in FY 2015 to ensure safe and healthy communities for our nation's children and families, including programs that address juvenile justice system improvements, racial and ethnic disparities, and children's exposure to violence and reentry. The report explains how OJJDP shares research findings and best practices through its information dissemination and training and technical assistance activities and present examples of how states, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories use OJJDP's formula and discretionary grants to improve their juvenile justice systems and to control and prevent delinquency. The report also discusses OJJDP programs that help missing and exploited children and their families, including initiatives to protect children from commercial sexual exploitation. Finally, the report presents the most recent findings from OJJDP's biannual Census of Juveniles in Residential Placement and Juvenile Residential Facility Census.
