The OJJDP Model Programs Guide literature reviews provide practitioners and policymakers with relevant research and evaluations on more than 40 juvenile justice topics and programs. The primary focus of this literature review is on intellectual and developmental disabilities of youths who are at risk of or who have come into contact with the juvenile justice system. It also includes related learning disabilities and emotional disturbances. This literature review does not focus on mental or behavioral health disorders or on physical disabilities such as blindness, deafness, or other similar challenges.
