The project tracked state and local policy, and measured law enforcement efforts related to underage drinking, in a large sample of local communities in the U.S. These data were merged with data on self-reported youth drinking and consequences, as well as a measure of underage drinking crashes. Then they examined the relationships among local alcohol policy, law enforcement strategies, and underage drinking.
