The Effects of Summer Jobs on Youth Violence
OJJDP-Sponsored. This report presents findings from a randomized controlled trial of an intervention that has been largely absent from the rigorous evaluation literature: summer jobs. The program offered an 8-week summer job at minimum wage, an adult job mentor, and for some youth, a cognitive behavioral therapy-based curriculum.
