| Office for Victims of Crime Announces Funding for Male Survivors of Violence
May 19, 2015
The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) has announced the following fiscal year 2015 funding opportunity:
- Supporting Male Survivors of Violence. OVC will make several awards of as much as $1 million each to improve responses to male survivors of violence, particularly boys and young men of color and their families, and to dedicate technical assistance to support these efforts. OVC is interested in strengthening victim service providers’ knowledge and skills, resulting in innovative programs and practices that foster a better understanding among criminal and juvenile justice systems and inform service providers about the needs and rights of these victims. Both OVC and OJJDP will oversee all projects funded through this solicitation. Applications are due by June 17, 2015.
